City of Belfast Swimming Club provides children and young people of all abilities the opportunity to learn and develop swimming skills in a fun club environment. We swim at a number of venues in the City making our programmes accessible to swimmers all over Belfast and the surrounding areas. Whilst we are an amateur club our swimmers are coached to the highest levels of excellence. Our Club is proud to have fielded both Olympic and Paralympic athletes: achievements not many swimming clubs can boast.
Comprehensive training programmes beginning with our Academy Squads right through to Performance squads are in place. We endeavour to cater for the ‘complete swimmer’, building on their learn to swim experience until they achieve their maximum potential, whether they develop their skills to compete seriously or simply to maintain high levels of physical fitness.
Our coaches have a proven track record of success in teaching and training swimmers of ALL abilities. They are an extremely dedicated team whose enthusiasm and commitment are second to none! All coaches are Swim Ireland qualified and are supported by an active Committee and parental network.
City of Belfast has both Sport NI Club Mark and Swim Ireland Club Mark accreditation (one of only 4 swimming clubs in NI to have been awarded this). These awards reflect a sound governance structure and recognition of embedded safeguarding children policies and development plans. CoB is also fully affiliated with Swim Ulster and Swim Ireland.
Above all we operate in a friendly fun filled environment where the focus is solely on the swimmer and allowing them to be the best that they can be irrespective of what level of swimming they perform at.
