With a massive list of Ulster and Irish Junior and Senior Records and an impressive list of International meets under her belt, COB's Mel Nocher is off to Beijing this summer as a member of the Irish Olympic swimming team.

One of the strongest swimmers to emerge from Irish swimming in recent times, Mel, a natural backstroker, is sure to shine in Beijing.

Congratulations Mel!

COB's Hannah Clarke is a member of the 6 person strong Irish Paralympic swimming team and will be swimming 100m brs in Beijing.

Hannah, a popular member of the Club (judging by the volume of cheering when she won "Swimmer of the Year" at our recent prizegiving evening!) has worked incredibly hard to achieve her ambition.

Fantastic news Hannah!

COB's Senior Coach Liz Reid  is the Irish paralympic Swimming Coach and will be accompanying Hannah and the rest of the team to the event.

COB Rising Star Conor Leaney is taking part in the World Youth Championships (July 8th - 13th) in Monterrey, Mexico.

Conor already holds many Ulster and Irish Junior records (and some senior ones!) and is Captain of the 2012 team.

This season he was awarded Junior Sportsperson of the Year at the Belfast Telegraph Awards.

Congratulations Conor!
