Halloween time trial
Our latest time trial took place on Sunday 1st November. Eighteen swimmers from the academy and junior squads swam. All swimmers took part in 4 events in all strokes over 25m or 50m distances, they also swam 100m I/M. There were some incredible swims with swimmers knocking huge amounts off their previous personal bests. Well done to all swimmers and my thanks to all the parents who helped with time-keeping. The next two dates for your diary are the 29th November at Bangor for the Bangor age groups, and the second date is Sunday 6th December which will be our Christmas time trial. Information will be on the desk at Sunday sessions.
Swimmer of the month for October 2009
Hannah Beattie took this months’ prize including trophy and £10 voucher for David Gotto sports. Hannah has not missed a session all month. Hannah competed in the recent Ulster graded gala held in Larne where she swam in the 200m f/s and b/c. She produced 11 second personal bests in both events and also gained her Ulster age group qualifying time in the freestyle. Hannah is in P6 and attends Victoria. She enjoys many other activities outside of swimming including guides, hockey, piano and dance to mention a few and still finds time to train 9 hours a week, well done Hannah.
