News IRISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS 17/12/2009 City of Belfast swimmers had a lot to cheer about following the recent Irish Schools Championships at the NAC in Dublin. Hannah Beattie and Erin Blundell were part of the Victoria College Prep team who won Gold in both the 200M Medley and 200M Freestyle relay events in the Girls 10 and under section. Also on the Saturday, Hannah finished 6th overall in the 50m freestyle posting a PB in this and in her 50m butterfly swim. Erin also competed in the 50M backstroke and manfully representing the boys Myles Colgan swam for Inchmarlo Prep in the backstroke as well. Christina McDowell represented both Victoria College Prep and COB on the Sunday, swimming in the 50M breaststroke posting a PB while finishing 7th overall in this event. Well done to all the swimmers who did their schools and City Of Belfast proud with their swimming, hopefully even more of our swimmers will be involved next year.
