News Easter Time Trial Report 18/3/2010 21 swimmers turned out on Sunday 14th March taking time away from Mother’s Day to compete in our 4th club time trial of the season. The events covered all four strokes and each swimmer swam in 5 races in less than an hour. The more experienced swimmers did the longer distances with our younger swimmers taking part mainly in the 50’s and 25’s. 39 personal best times were set and 24 new times established. These from 105 swims meaning 60% of all swims were personal bests. These are great results, showing real fitness and commitment to training from everyone. The biggest personnel best off the evening came from our current swimmer of the month Sam Harman taking almost 1 minute off his 100m freestyle, justifying his selection for this month’s award. Many swimmer collected qualifying times for Ulster graded meets and Ulster age group championships. Well done to all the swimmers and to Dave McCracken for helping record all the times. Our next club meet will be the club gala in June details will appear on the notice board. DS 16th March.
