News City of Belfast Aquathon Team 31/5/2010 The City of Belfast Aquathlon Team returned to Olympia Leisure Centre yesterday morning after training, to take part in the annual swim and run event with seventy other competitors. COB made the podium seven times, amazing for a ten strong team included Erin Blundell who missed the photo but gave an excellent performance in both the swim and run! Bree, Georgia, Hannah and Fred scooped the gold in their age group events showing that their hours of training are paying of not, only in the pool but also on the track. Ellen, Christina and Tony gathered up a fine collection of bronze ware. Jack and Robert narrowly missed out on a trophy but enjoyed the day. Every event needs an organizer and in this case it was Christina who rallied the team and left it very hard for the parents to say no, good call and well worth doing. Our small team did the club proud not only with their outstanding achievements but also support for their team members and other competitors. This was a fun event for a good cause all money raised will go to Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Thanks to the Olympian Triathlon Club for a very enjoy able afternoon out.
