The Boys do well in Dublin

Irish Age Group Championships 9-11 July 2010
Initially only two swimmers achieved qualifying times for this meet: James McDowell and Morgan Berryman and then at Div 2 Robert McDowell also qualified in a PB swim in the 1500 FC. They competed in 13 events over the 3 day meet, all in PB times.

James 100 BC 1.11.8 finalist 1.3 sec improvement from heats to final
Morgan 200 IM 2.37.58 finalist Though final swim was slightly slower than the heat it was still a 16 Sec PB
James 200 IM 2.42.46 Achieved QT
So day one finished with a silver medal and 2 finals
Morgan 400 IM 5.29.58 5th HDW
James 400 IM 5.41.44 11th HDW
Both swimmers finished well inside the QT and improved on SC PBs
Morgan 200 Brst 3.05.55 finalist A great result!

Robert 1500 FC 21.37 Top 10 finish 1st ever Irish age group swim
James 200 BC 2.31.78 finalist A great achievement
Morgan 200 FS 2.15.93 finalist 13 Sec improvement
All three swimmers performed extremely well as the results show. They were very professional in their approach to the competition following the plan with warm-ups, swim downs, refuelling and hydration. I’m delighted to say that they reaped the rewards of their dedication to the training programme.
