News Fred Pepper medals in Dublin 12/7/2010 IWA gala 10.7.10 This was Fred Pepper’s first gala in the world of disability sports, not to mention his first glimpse of a 50m pool. Excitement was high and he was up at 6am and joined the team for breakfast at 7 before joining us at the pool for warm-up at 8. Classification came next and Fred was keen to watch the others swim. The IWA gala ran between Age Group sessions so he had a long wait! He won gold in 50m Brst and 50 FS and silver in both 50 BC and 100 FS Fred only joined the Academy squad this season and has made great progress with Dave as his coach. He is a really valuable member of the Tele-tots team, his only competition experience before diving into the NAC. The club was able to facilitate his training after his squad sessions finished with the support of Arena Health and Fitness Club. Liz Reid Coach
